January 3-4, 2013 Hosted by CSULB Stream Ecology and Assessment Laboratory California State University, Long Beach Workshop provided comprehensive instruction on the taxonomy, identification, and natural history of western North American Ephemeroptera (mayflies).

August 19-21, 2015 Hosted by The National Aquatic Monitoring Center Utah State University Logan, UT instruction on the taxonomy, identification, and natural history of western North American aquatic Coleoptera (beetles), with an emphasis on Hydrophiloidea, Hydraenidae, and Noteridae.

October 21-22, 2017 Hosted by University of California-Davis Presentation and distribution of a fully illustrated key and diagnostic atlas for the western North American Baetidae. Other taxonomic groups covered: Hirudinea, Gastropoda, Crustacea, Odonata, Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Corydalidae, Trichoptera, & Elmidae.

October 20-21, 2018 Hosted by University of California-Davis Tipuloidea with Gelhaus and Podeniene presented by Dr. Jon Gelhaus and Dr. Virginia Podeniene of the Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia.

The workshop this year will focus on the aquatic Hemiptera/Heteroptera and will be presented by Dan Polhemus, the Bishop Museum, Hawaii. There will also be a section on taxonomic updates.
